Family owned accounting business, Webb Financial, has been serving the Illawarra region for the last 8 years and over that time have had several mild evolutions of their brand due to slight repositioning. However in 2020, and with the addition of new services in Lending & Finance and a Financial Planning arm, the business’ offering had changed significantly, and as such warranted a complete relaunch.
While it was Flying Pigs who made the initial approach to Webb Financial, the timing was perfect and they quickly recognised our strengths in Brand Positioning, and subsequently engaged us to overhaul their Brand Identity and suite of sales tools.
Having built up considerable equity in the very colourful logo over their time in business, it made sense to retain but refine an element of the colour spectrum used, in order to continue building on existing brand awareness. We call this process a ‘Brand Refresh’ as opposed to a ‘Rebrand’, where we generally start with a pretty much a blank canvas.
Webb Financial have always been very pro-active marketers, which seems to have paid dividends for them, so they really embraced the idea of change and the concept of a fresh start for their next chapter.
In an effort to avoid using stock photo library imagery across collateral needs, they were keen to commission some photography in their new office space using their own staff, which obviously made the image assets completely ownable. On the same day of the photography shoot, we also managed to squeeze in a short video to help explain the history of the company and announce its relaunch, which made for a particularly busy and action packed day.
With a new Brand Toolkit in hand, made up of a fresh new logo, typestyles, colour palette and images, we were then able to commence a comprehensive and thorough roll out which impacted on their Stationery, Company Profile Brochure, a reskinning of their Website, their Billboard on the side of the Wollongong Entertainment Centre and their Social and Digital channels.
In hindsight, it was probably one of the most comprehensive rollouts we’ve been involved in, and given how pleased Webb Financial were with the result, one of the most rewarding!
